Elisa Friman è una ceramista libera professionista che dal 2005 lavora a Helsinki, in Finlandia. Realizza prodotti unici utilizzando l’arte della ceramica. Per la realizzazione delle sue opere utilizza il gres, la porcellana e massa fusa, che dipinge con smalti e pigmenti. Ha lavorato come insegnante in laboratori di ceramica e alla realizzazione di opere per mostre ed esposizioni. A Creative Times Elisa presenta due lavori: Blue Tray e Green Tray. Questi lavori sono stati creati combinando giocosamente colori forti e forme semplici.
“Volevo realizzare degli oggetti e delle ceramiche dipinte che avessero la funzione di piatti da portata. Ogni vassoio è un unico. La mia lavorazione si basa sulla stratificazione. Durante la fase creativa ricerco la funzionalità e la fluidità del tratto”.

Elisa Friman is a freelance ceramist.  She has worked in Helsinki, Finland since 2005 where she has concentrated on making unique products and ceramic art. In her works she uses high-fire stoneware, porcelain and casting mass that she paints with glazes and pigments. She has worked as a teacher in ceramic workshops and planned products for exhibitions. At Creative Times Elisa presents Blue Tray and Green Tray. These works were created by playfully combining strong colors to simplistic shape. Her intention was to make ceramic paintings and objects that could be used as serving dishes. Each tray is unique. She looks for layers in different stages of her work. Her work is characterized by an experimental and functional touch.
